Mill A School District is committed to providing safe drinking water for all students and staff. As required by Washington State, Mill A School completed lead testing of all drinking water outlets in September 2025.
Two sinks showed elevated lead levels above the state action level of 5 parts per billion (ppb). These fixtures were immediately taken out of service for drinking use:
Room 2A Sink – Labeled “Do Not Use”
Conference Room Sink – Restricted for non-drinking use only
The district is now completing the required remediation steps, and the Department of Health will conduct follow-up testing to ensure lead levels are reduced to safe levels.
We will continue posting annual updates each fall until all fixtures meet state standards.
